I’m always impressed with the quality of exercise programming brought by NordicTrack each year, but I have to say, this new NordicTrack X24 Bike brings the package. In terms of the frame and build, it’s very similar to past models, but what’s new for 2025 is the upgraded “iFit 2.0″ experience which is better than ever. But I’m always a fan of indoor bikes that offer both incline and decline, as there’s just no comparison to the feel of the real when riding through the mountains.

The new NordicTrack X24 features a large 24″ pivoting touchscreen which can be adjusted for off-bike workouts, like yoga, or with the two three-pound dumbbells that come with the purchase. This is one of the largest screens you’ll find on the market for indoor exercise bikes. I’ve found over the years that customers either want attached screens or they don’t. If you do, then this is top of the line for sure. Built to work with the new and improved iFit program, you can now access Netflix and Spotify on this screen, as well as allow the program to automatically adjust the resistance to match live or on-demand programming from across the world. I love the new premium speakers which can sync with Bluetooth headphones, the USB-C charging port for your other devices, and yes of course, an AutoBreeze fan which smartly changes to match the intensity of the workout.

Mechanically this bike can incline up to a whopping 20% and decline down to -10%. That’s a 30% swing which I can feel as I rock and roll about the mountains on a virtual trail. The two-sided pedals with SPD and toe clips can fit about any size of shoe you’ll find. And then there’s 24 levels of Silent Magnetic Resistance (SMR) which plenty for even the most advanced athlete. This is a relatively compact bike which I can see in any home or apartment. Measuring 56.4″ x 21.8″ x 62.7” at a machine weight of 205 pounds when in-box, it can support up to 350 pounds in user weight. Priced at $1,999, I expect to see some great deals throughout the holidays.

Why You Should Trust Our Review Of The NordicTrack X24 Bike

My name is Brian Boyce, and I’m a fitness expert and CPT. I’m a 7-time national qualifier in both men’s bodybuilding and classic physique within the NPC competitions. I powerlift competitively, and I use exercise bikes 5-6x a week in my workout routine. I’ve also coached, and been coached, on cardiovascular training, HIIT, and nutrition, particularly as it pertains to weight loss for my body building competitions. Bikes are part of how I build endurance and strength.

I thoroughly test all the bikes I review. I unbox them, assemble them, install them, walk on them, run on them, and try out all of the features. I do my workout routines on them. I get to know each and every bike I review extremely well. I log miles on the deck. I listen and record the sound of the motor, I test and measure the incline/decline, and try out all aspects of the console, trying every treadmill’s features, such as iFit.

In Brief

I traveled to New York City for the introduction of the new 2025 NordicTrack lineup and had a chance to work on all of its pieces, including the X24 exercise bike. Measuring 56.4″ x 21.8″ x 62.7″ it fits nicely in any sized room, as we saw there. Built sturdy, it can support up to 350 pounds in user weight. The first thing I noticed is of course the 24″ pivoting monitor, which is an upgrade from prior years’ styles. This new style of touchscreen is much flatter and reminds of a tablet as opposed to a television console. It’s easier to move and use. Probably the big hallmark here is the 24 levels of magnetic resistance coupled with a 20% incline and -10% decline. Put together I can’t see anyone outgrowing this bike. It’s an iFit machine so of course you get the iFit, the most dynamic workout app on the market. With iFit, you not only get access to more than 10,000 on-demand videos as well as live workouts, but the bike’s resistance can be controlled by the program, and you can now access Netflix and Spotify on the screen. You’ll also get their new AI workout coach who will generate new workouts with you based on prior programming. All in all, this is the smartest bike on the market this year, priced at $1,999 with $39 per month subscription fees to iFit.

NordicTrack X24 Bike – First Impressions (2024)

Why We Like It

The NordicTrack X24 Bike even comes with two dumbbells, for crying out loud. It’s not just a smart bike, it’s downright brilliant. Okay, not everyone is interested in a $1,999 home workout bike. If that sounds like you, there are lower-priced bikes out there. That said, this bike will do everything but buy you a plane ticket to the Rocky Mountains. The fact that I can incline up to 20% and decline down to -10% means hills and hollers are just one screen click away. With 24 levels of magnetic resistance, it’s silent and steady and you’ll hear nothing but the sounds of your music on these premium speakers, or on your own Bluetooth headphones.

It Comes With A Giant 24″ Console

I can’t say enough about the new iFit screens this year. They’re flatter and smaller than ever. The screen quality rivals a smart television set and the speakers are terrific. There’s also an automatic fan that keeps up with your workout. The console here also offers a USB-C charging station for your phone or tablet, and there’s a handy accessory rack as well. What’s great about a screen this size is you can really lose yourself in whatever imagery you choose, whether it’s using Google Maps workouts, a manual program, or a biking trail through the streets of Europe. Because the screen pivots, you can steer it away from the glare of windows and even get off the bike and do yoga, or other exercises at any point. The speakers are great and now that iFit lets you sync with Netflix and Spotify, you can just lose yourself in your workout while earning the burn.

Unrivaled Incline and Decline

With great two-sided SPD and toe-clips, you won’t lose your footing while rocking up 20% inclines or dropping downhill at -10% decline. Not many bikes on the market feature that kind of range. You’re also getting 24 levels of magnetic resistance, and when you combine all these together, you can really get to the adventure of biking hard. Looking around the market these days, I can’t find any bikes with this kind of range.

The New iFit Program

If you’re unfamiliar with iFit, I’d recommend checking it out in full here. I’ve been using it for years with NordicTrack and ProForm bikes and have seen it explode from a simple workout app to the most advanced AI training system in the world. One of the most prominent features of course is the iconic smart-adjust technology which allows the live trainer, or on-demand program, to automatically control the resistance of your machine. This also works with the cardio program, ActivePulse, where the machine can keep your heart rate on point by automatically adjusting itself as your exercise. The iFit program is also one of the few around that offer live trainers, as well as more than 12,000 on-demand videos for everything from strength, rowing, biking, and nutrition to mindfulness and meditation. It’s built to travel as it can be downloaded onto any device and all of your metrics are stored.

What’s new though is the iFIT AI Coach program which selects and recommends workouts based on your past performance, and also works with your directly to design your own programs. This AI Coach can contact you via text messaging if you like, and together you can build your own workouts. This comes atop even more outdoor content, which is one of the iFit programs staples. The iFit program features professional athletes and trainers visiting more than 121 nations on all seven continents, even Antarctica, as they take through whatever kind of journey you want. And now, the iFit program can sync with Strava, Garmin, Google Fit, Apple Health, and you can use Netflix and Spotlify as well. At $39 per month, it’s about the same price as its peers’ apps, but frankly, there’s just no comparison. If you’re willing to put $4,000 into the best treadmill on the market, the $39 just doesn’t seem problematic at all. And yes, I love the fact that if I also buy a rower, treadmill, or elliptical from NordicTrack or ProForm, this one app works on all at the same time.

Keep In Mind

This is $1,999 bike and while you can still use it manually without the $39 iFit program, it’s just not as much fun. This bike is for serious athletes that see it as an investment. Frankly, if you incorporate a few dumbbell exercises into the mix, I can’t see why you’d need to go to the gym. If what you’re looking for is more of budget-friendly, consider the NordicTrack VU 29 at $999.

This Bike Could Be For You If You Want:

  • The best bike money can buy
  • The highest level of incline and decline on a bike these days at 20% to -10%
  • 24 levels of silent magnetic resistance
  • The most interactive programming on the market with iFit
  • A large, easy-to-use, 24″ touchscreen

Our Verdict:

All in all, the NordicTrack X24 Bike is the reason for the season, for sure. This is the smartest bike I’ve ever seen and if you’re into hard core streaming workouts, look no further. At $1,999 it’s in the ballpark of other top machines. But the good news is you’ll never outgrow it, and the way things are going, I can see iFit’s workout app only getting more interactive. It’s a blue ribbon bike for sure.
